Police vigilance results in the apprehension of offenders

On Thursday night at about 8:30pm, Senior Constable Po Faigaa and Constable Mary-Anne Hogan , officers from Ferny Grove, were conducting patrols along McGinn Road, Ferny Grove when they observed occupants of a blue Toyota Corolla acting suspiciously.  Checks by the officers revealed that the car was stolen however by the time they were able to do a u-turn, the occupants where no longer in the stolen vehicle.  Police were approached by a member of the public who had seen the occupants run from the car and into the Ferny Grove State School.  With the assistance from other police and the police dog squad, three juvenile offenders, two females and one male, were apprehended a short time later.  A fourth male juvenile still remains outstanding. The three juveniles where conveyed to the Ferny Grove Police Station and the matter is now being further investigated by the Child Protection Investigation Unit.
